Chicks and Chats

A free event for women!

Do you feel overwhelmed? Do you want to run away and scream?! Do you want to vent/rant in a safe space? Do you need someone to talk to? Do you feel you have knowledge or experience in areas women struggle with?

Depression? Anxiety? Menopause? Covid? Toddlers? Teenagers? Work problems? Relationship troubles? Weight loss? Guilt? The list is endless!

Let’s face it – being a woman is hard sometimes! We are living in a fast paced world (less so since Covid!), and sometimes it’s just all too much.

Come and join us at Ronnie’s Field for a couple of hours, free from outside distractions – no kids, no dogs, no men and no work! Come alone or with a friend – you will be assured of a very warm welcome (even if it’s cold!)

It is well documented that fresh air, exercise, and being amongst nature is soothing and healing to our souls, as well as being beneficial our mental health.

Ronnie’s Field offers peace and tranquility, as well as outstanding natural beauty. There is plenty of space to stroll, wander, run up and down if the urge takes you, and just be. Let your mind slow down and your soul settle.

Come and walk and talk. Or sit and listen to the birds. Hug a tree. Hug a friend. Have a massive scream. Have a cry (tissues and hugs provided!) Bring a coffee. Bring a friend. Meet new friends.

This free event is open to women over the age of 16 – there is no upper age limit! To find out more, and to register your interest, fill in the form

A bit about me

As a woman in a man’s world, life is never easy for us; the stronger sex! I am 52 and have been married twice, divorced once, separated once, have two children (one from each marriage) and have had mental health issues since I was 14. Chuck in menopause, Covid, running two businesses and having to navigate obstacles and challenges within them, and life can get pretty overwhelming!

Come and join me, and other women with similar and different issues, to make sense of our crazy lives! The old adage ‘A problem shared is a problem halved’ is so true. Even though talking might not resolve your problems, you always feel better after a rant and a cry! We need to do this more! As women, we all multitask and put ‘a face’ on to the outside world. That in itself increases the pressure on our already overloaded lives.

Take some time out and have some time for YOU. And just for YOU. We find it difficult to do this as we are always cleaning up after someone/something; juggling responsibilities; planning the next meal; squeezing commitments into our already full and busy lives ……. We can and should take time to leave all those jobs behind for a couple of hours once in a while.

Join me, and my four legged sidekick Ronnie, for two hours of YOU.
